Obligatory Transitional for Spring Outfit Post

New York is fabulous year round but it takes a while for the city to really heat up. It’s officially spring and I am saying thank u, next to the cold.  As much as I am trying to avoid another “transition into spring” blog post, I can’t deny the in between kind-of-cold-kind-of-warm-weather that calls for it.
So... this post is my obligatory transitional for spring outfit post.

Not totally ditching my winter coat but definitely shoving it deeper into my tiny New York City closet. Lately, I’ve been reaching for my plaid trench coat from Something Navy to keep me cute, yet warm. I threw the coat on over a basic black shirt and some ripped boyfriend jeans for a cool an effortless look.

Belly button exposure in the bleak winter is not cool... but I like spring because I can break out my cropped sweaters and let a little skin peak out.

For the second outfit, I reached for my cropped knit sweater, hot pants with a little shine to them, a funky statement bag, boots and some shades. The outfit is pretty simple but the speaker box purse helps to add a little character. This outfit is perfect for spring because it's too hot to wear in the summer and too cold to wear in the winter.

What are you wearing this spring?
